Match identical, free tiles until you clear the whole board
Choose the board layout
Mahjong Solitaire is a tile puzzle for one player. Tiles with pictures are stacked on a board, and you remove two matching tiles at a time until the whole board is cleared.
Only a free tile can be removed: one with no tile on top of it and at least one side, left or right, uncovered. You choose the level — the higher it is, the more layers and well-hidden tiles — and the board layout, Pyramid or Diamond.
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm stuck and can't see any more pairs. What can I do?
Use the Shuffle button to rearrange the remaining tiles (this costs a few points) or restart the game. If you prefer, ask for a Hint: it shows you a free pair.
How can I play better?
Give priority to pairs that free up tiles trapped in the lower layers before removing pairs that are already loose at the edge. This helps you avoid blocking the board later on.
Does every game have a solution?
The boards are built so that there is always a sequence of moves that clears them completely. If a move leaves you stuck, you can shuffle or start over.
